Delete your account.
You can remove your Movemark account, and everything we hold about you, at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app — two taps and it's done. If you can't reach the app, email us and we'll do it for you.
This page explains how to delete the Movemark account you created, exactly what gets removed, and how long it takes. It's here so you never have to dig for it — and because Google Play asks every app that supports account creation to publish a deletion route you can reach from outside the app.
1Delete from inside the app.
This is the quickest route and erases everything immediately:
- Open Movemark and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You'll be signed out the moment it completes.
The action runs on our server, not just your device — so your data is gone from our database, not merely hidden on the phone in front of you.
2Delete by email.
If you've lost access to the app or your device, email help@movemark.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask one or two questions to confirm the account is really yours before we proceed. We action verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
3What gets deleted.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile — name and email address.
- Your entire move plan — dates, addresses, rooms, boxes, items, tasks, and any photos you attached.
- Your household members and shared-board data.
- Your subscription record and the link to your payment profile.
All of it sits behind a single account, and all of it is wiped in one operation. There is no "soft delete" or recovery window — once it's done, we cannot bring it back.
4What we may keep, and why.
Two narrow exceptions, neither of which can identify you once your account is gone:
- Billing records. If you ever paid for a subscription, tax law requires us to retain invoices for up to 6 years. These are held by our payment processor (Stripe), not in your app data.
- Anonymised statistics. Aggregate counts like "how many users finished onboarding this week" remain, but they can no longer be tied back to you.
5Cancel before you delete (subscribers).
Deleting your account does not, by itself, refund an active subscription. If you subscribed on the web, cancel first from Settings → Manage subscription (or the Stripe customer portal), then delete your account. Questions about a charge? Email help@movemark.app and a real person will sort it out.
Changed your mind? Mark's still here to help you move.
